About the Artist
My love of photography began at an early age. It all started with a book called "Farm Boy" which is a photo documentary of a boy growing up on a farm. I remember pouring over the book again and again each time as if it were my first. The pictures and the unwritten story they created were so fascinating to me. Words were not necessary to see the emotions of the characters as their lives unfolded. I hope to capture those same moments and emotions of every day life in my work.
Since that early introduction to the power of photography and the feelings it can convey, I have been focused on letting the true individual come through in my photographs. While not strictly opposed to studio work, I do the majority of my work outside, in nature, which helps to minimize the sometimes unnatural look and feel that occurs with set up or posed images. This tends to make my clients more comfortable and allows me to better capture their individual personality.
I truly love to take pictures, and I believe that spirit is evident the the photography that I produce.
